Kashmir Development Foundation (KDF) welcomes your help and support in engaging with all stakeholders in our efforts to empower the voice of under-represented people and communities.
Simon Danczuk MP is hosting a Parliamentary Reception on 7 May 2014 at House of Commons to help KDF to showcase our work within Kashmiri Diaspora in UK and in all the regions the of Jammu and Kashmir.
The theme of the morning is “Empowering Kashmiri Voices in India-Pakistan dialogue process on Jammu and Kashmir” and the event will look at how economic and trade relations and confidence building measures (CBMs) across the Line of Control emerging from the people of Jammu and Kashmir are complementing and support the India-Pakistan peace process on resolving the Kashmir issue.
This reception will be attended by senior representatives from KDF and members of the both Houses of Parliament, and many other stakeholders with an interest in peacebuilding and transforming conflicts. It represents an excellent opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with key influencers and decision makers in an informal setting.
We aim to highlight the crucial role of including Kashmiris in any dialogue relating to Kashmir in ensuring a sustainable and just peace. The meeting will also enable making a strong case for future political and financial support for such peacebuilding work in light of the discussions and follow up from this event.
If you would like to help and facilitate in organising similar or other events, we love to hear from you.
