Kashmir Development Foundation exists to empower the voices of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Kashmiri Diaspora in the U.K., Europe and elsewhere by working with the people to prevent or relieve poverty, taking climate action, peacebuilding, advancing equality and social mobility.

 Mission - Kashmir Development Foundation exists to empower the voices of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Kashmiri Diaspora in the U.K., Europe and elsewhere by working with the people to prevent or relieve poverty, taking climate action, peacebuilding, advancing equality and social mobility. 

KDF actively engages in community development, public policy advocacy, cultural diplomacy, and partnerships to improve people's skills for life, cultural cooperation, health and socioeconomic wellbeing. KDF delivers training, research, engagement and enterprise solutions for all sectors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

KDF aims (‘objects’) are;

  1. To develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged communities of Jammu and Kashmir in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society;
  2. To Advance the education of the general public in the history and culture of Jammu and Kashmir;
  3. The prevention or relief of poverty in Jammu and Kashmir provides grants, items, and services to individuals in need and charities or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.

 

 

 

KDF core activities concentrate on community development, public policy advocacy, cultural diplomacy and capacity building for peace and sustainable development by empowering the voice of under-represented people and communities and campaigning for participatory governance, equality and human rights, and the relief of poverty within the socially and economically disadvantaged communities of Jammu and Kashmir.
